The event was more than we bargained for. We learned that a Korean style bull fight is far different from the Spanish version. Here the bulls fight each other, pushing and punching their sanded down horns at one another until one bull decides he's had enough. At that point they simply walk away and the crowd goes wild.
In addition to the bulls, there was a stage in front of the stadium where traditional Korean singers and dancers performed. This was the highlight of the trip because some of the crowd was motivated enough to get up a boogie. Well, it was really only 3 old men who decided to dance, but they had enough moves for all of us. Putting a smile on everyone's face, they shook their butts, waved their arms, and had the time of their lives. We think Soju had something to do with it, but there was no concrete evidence.
No popcorn or hot dogs here, but you can get some rice cakes |
